£60m-rated Victor Osimhen could become Nigeria’s most expensive player
Leicester have joined the likes of Manchester United and Everton in the English Premier League all of whom are itching to sign gangling Lille striker and rising star, Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen. Rated £60m, he could become Nigeria’s most expensive player.
But all of the EPL clubs fear they could lose the enterprising forward to Italian clubs with Juventus and Inter Milan as top contenders for his signature.
The French side, Lille, are demanding around £60million for the Nigeria international
Leicester City retain an interest in Victor Osimhen whom they hope could be a perfect long-term replacement for ageing club legend, Jamie Vardy.
Osimhen has attracted interest from Brendan Rodgers’ scouts as well as Chelsea, Manchester United and Everton this season.
However, cash-conscious Lille are demanding around £60million for the 21-year-old Nigeria international while he also has strong interest from Italian sides Juventus and Inter Milan with the latter fearing they will lose Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona.
Leicester want a versatile forward to compete with and ultimately succeed Jamie Vardy.
Youngster Osimhen has had an impressive season for the French side with 18 goals and six assists in 38 appearances across all competitions this season.
The Foxes have also asked about highly-rated midfielder Filip Krastev from Bulgarian side Slavia Sofia.
The Bulgaria U19 international has made seven first team appearances this seasona and is valued at around £4.5million.
