$2B Arms Deal: DSS Arrests Dasuki
The Department of State Security, DSS, Tuesday morning arrested former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, a retired colonel who has been enmeshed in a controversy with the Presidency over some shady arms deals worth $2 billion.
The operatives whisked Dasuki away to its headquarters early on Tuesday morning for interrogation in connection with $2billion arms deals. His arrest has been predicted as some persons close to him during his tenure as NSA had already been picked and were being interrogated by the DSS.
The ex-NSA’s arrest came barely hours after Bashir Yuguda, a former minister of state for Finance, and 20 others were arrested by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday, November 30, in connection with the arms deal.
An Intelligence source told our reporter that the DSS has made good progress in its investigation which has spread over several months. More arrests are expected to follow in the coming weeks, the source said.
