A former PDP Gubernatorial Candidate in Nasarawa State and now APC Chieftain, Alhaji Yusuf Agabi, has expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would come out victorious in the February and March general elections.
Agabi stated this on Tuesday at the Akye community constituency meeting with Alhaji Muhammed Alkali, member representing Lafia North constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
The former gubernatorial candidate endorsed Alkali for another term come March election.
He said that their support followed Alkali’s track records of achievements so far as member representing the constituency.
He said that Alkali has the capacity and is doing well for his people, hence the need for their endorsement.
Agabi said that the lawmaker is their best choice for Lafia North constituency in the upcoming general election.
He described Alkali as a grassroots mobiliser with passion, vision and mission, and have the people of the constituency at heart.
Agabi assured the lawmaker that the entire youths, elders and women of Akye in Lafia East Development Area would vote for him and all APC candidates in the polls.
The former gubernatorial candidate called on the people of the constituency to vote for the lawmaker, Sen. Bola Tinubu, Gov. Abdullahi Sule and other APC candidates in the general elections.
Responding, Alkali appreciated Agabi and other stakeholders for the endorsement.
Alkali, who is the Deputy Chief Whip and Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, pledged not to disappoint Agabi, stakeholders and other constituents.
“I will continue to make you proud by giving you and other people of our constituency good and quality representation, if given another mandate.
“I will do more, if voted for another term come March election,” he said.
He solicited for the continous support of Agabi, other stakeholders and people of the constituency to enable him succeed beyond 2023.
The lawmaker also urged the constituents to vote Sen. Bola Tinubu, Gov. Sule, Sen. Tanko Al-Mkaura and other APC candidates in the polls. (NAN)
