Breaking! Labour suspends strike for five days
The Organised Labour has suspended the nationwide strike for five days during which it will participate in the tripartite committee meeting to arrive at an acceptable national minimum wage.
Political Economist NG had reported earlier that Labour may call off the effective nationwide strike after the Federal Government offered to pay a minimum wage above the N60,000 it earlier offered.
Labour officials met this morning and a resolution was reached to suspend the strike forthwith.
A joint official statement will be issued later today by the Labour unions, a top Labour source told Political Economist NG.
